Our goal: Developing new, bank wide EDW
A multinational bank is building a new bank wide Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and reporting platform. Key goals in the project are enhancing data quality, data governance, compliance with regulatory demands and to ensure high data availability. Historical audibility is a vital feature for the bank’s EDW. The architecture should include a managed data correction layer and support real-time reporting needs. The data model should be independent of the source-system structures and prepare for future source-system changes and cloud migration. What kind of solution would you suggest for the bank?
Interested? Want to know more? Keep reading! We are looking for a full stack data platform consultant to join our team working at a multinational investment bank. If SQL runs through your veins and you are passionate to become an expert in handling of bank wide data, you might be our new team member. If you already have some experience in working with the financial sector, even better.
We value just as much good team spirit as we do technical know-how. We have an exceptionally brilliant relationship with our customer, which makes the daily work productive, helpful, and of course - fun. It might not be that common to receive praise from left and right about the team's awesomeness. Well, for us it is a part of the job!
You will join a multi-organizational team that is working on building a true enterprise-wide data warehouse with Data Vault 2.0 at its core, with downstream dataflows to information marts, custom interfaces, in-memory models and visualization layers. The project is run by using agile methodologies. In practice, we follow scrum methodologies rather closely. We all also enjoy a good challenge, and there will not be a shortage of them in this role.
We expect you to have a strong background in one of the two key aspects:
- Business understanding of financial markets and institutions such as investment banks, with knowledge ranging from treasury to asset liability management and lending, or
- technical know-how as a full stack data platform developer.
The idea is that you should have at least one of the two nailed down and be ready to learn the other. In the long run you will need both to succeed.
So, maybe you have prior knowledge of working as a BI consultant, a data engineer or a data architect, and you have an interest in the finance sector. You might have prior knowledge, or you are keen to learn, the ins and outs of how an investment bank operates.
Or, you might have been previously working in a financial institution and you have mustered up some technical skills along the way, and for an example know how to write SQL. You would like to grow your expertise by taking your technical data platform skills up a notch.
Regardless of your background, you will need these mighty skills:
- Data warehousing
- BI-tools (Power BI)
- Microsoft data platform offering
- Great communication skills and a helpful attitude
- Good written and oral English
Are you ready to grab this unique opportunity and to become a part of probably the best multi-organizational development team in Finland? We dare you to contact us!
Send your application by 28th of February.
